"Fun with Triangles" Pulsera

"Fun with Triangles" is a variation on Marcia Balonis's Solstice Bracelet, using 2-hole triangle beads instead of CzechMates 2-hole bar as outlined in her Starman Trend Setter pattern.

Beads used in this project: 6 MM 2-hole triangles Jet and Mattie Met Silver, 6 MM Red Polaris Beads, 3 MM Czech Fire Polish Snake Dark Coral, Czech Fire Polish 4 MM Pastel Cocoa, #8 Seed Beads clear/silver ICL w/sparkle, #11 Seed Beads dark smoky amethyst, #15 Seed Beads cherry, and for the clasp an Antique Silver Newbury Square Button.

Beaded Pine Needle Basket

Pine needle art is one of the oldest crafts known. It dates back some 9000 years, even before pottery which was made by lining twig baskets with clay.The Seminole Indians were one of the first tribes to make the pine needle baskets. They used a sharp piece of sea shell or bone as a needle.

Last year my husband and I moved to a 55+ community in Ocala, FL called "On Top of the World", which offers a wonderful award winning continuing education program "Master the Possibilities". This Winter I took a hands on class in Pine Needle Basket weaving. With my love of all things BEADS, I had to add beads to my project.
