Enamel Jewelry Work

Enamel is one of the most versatile sources of pure, luscious color. Powdered glass can be applied with great precision onto a variety of jewelry metals, including silver, gold, and copper.

Jewelry enamel, also known as vitreous enamel (from the Latin word for glass, vitrum), is made when powdered glass is fused to a substrate by firing

I took an introductory class in Jewelry Enameling with Holly at BEADS in Tampa and the Necklace and Earring Set are the results....not bad for a first try!

Superduo Duo

Superduos (sometimes written as "SuperDuos" or "Super Duos") are oval-shaped, two-hole glass beads made in the Czech Republic. The "Ruffle" Bracelet(left) and "Los Peyote Cosen" Bracelet(right) are two fun examples of how you can use these new versatile beads.

Using Crystal Sliperit Super Duo Beads, #5 Surf and Sand Triangle Beads, #11 Light Gold Seed Beads,  #15 Dark Golden Brown Round Seed Beads and 4MM  Semi Precious Cat Eye Rounds the "Ruffle" Bracelet dresses up any outfit.

The "Los Peyote Cosen" is made using a modified even count peyote stitch. Capri Gold Super duos join with #11 Duracoat Galvanized Sea Foam and Galvanized Dark Mauve to make an interesting variegated gold and teal pattern.
