Fused glass pendant with custom glass bead necklace....

I was fortunate  to be able to take a class with Beth Cox, visiting glass artist, through "Master the Possibilities" program at "On Top of the World" Communities. Beth spends her summers in Bark River, MI at Perronville Glass Works.

Fused glass buttons after firing, which I hope to use as clasps for my handwoven beaded bracelets. 

Aztec Sun Bracelet

Several weeks ago I drove to Tampa for Bead Week at BEADS. I took a class taught by Anne Hesse, who will be one of the featured instructors at the "Bead and Button" Show at the end of May into June 2015 in Milwaukee, WI.

The photos above are my version of Anne's "Mayan Sol".  The circles are build around an 8 mm bead using #11, #8, #6 and cube seed beads. I finished off the bracelet with a toggle clasp using #15 seed beads and #11 delicias.

Anne is in the center of this photo taken at BEADS, Tampa.  Below is Anne's sample bracelet, which she finished off with a snap for the closure.
