Superduo Duo

Superduos (sometimes written as "SuperDuos" or "Super Duos") are oval-shaped, two-hole glass beads made in the Czech Republic. The "Ruffle" Bracelet(left) and "Los Peyote Cosen" Bracelet(right) are two fun examples of how you can use these new versatile beads.

Using Crystal Sliperit Super Duo Beads, #5 Surf and Sand Triangle Beads, #11 Light Gold Seed Beads,  #15 Dark Golden Brown Round Seed Beads and 4MM  Semi Precious Cat Eye Rounds the "Ruffle" Bracelet dresses up any outfit.

The "Los Peyote Cosen" is made using a modified even count peyote stitch. Capri Gold Super duos join with #11 Duracoat Galvanized Sea Foam and Galvanized Dark Mauve to make an interesting variegated gold and teal pattern.

Trail Ridge Switchback Spiral Necklace

The Trail Ridge Switchback Spiral Necklace was inspire by Marcia Balonis' pattern "Chunky Spiral" This design uses a woven right angle weave core of  #8 seed beads to twist back and forth like the hair pin curves on Trail Ridge Road on the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park near Grand Lake, CO.

A great mix of colors and sizes of turquoise, green and bronze beads all from Holly Hancock's shop, Beads in Tampa, FL, make this a fun necklace to make as well as wear. Marcia Balonis' pattern for the Chunky Spiral is also available at Beads.

This necklace is NLA. Please contact Jan at beadsbaublesandbracelets@gmail.com to special order your own custom made Trail Ridge necklace.

SuperDuo Turquoise Ripples

The Turquoise Ripple Bracelet is my variation on Marcia Balonis's "Ring Around the Rosie" pattern.

The 8MM Turquoise rounds are set off nicely with SuperDuo 2.5MMx5MM Aqua Capri Gold two hole beads, #8 Lt Blue/Dk Teal Triangles, #8 Duracoat Galv Dark Mauve, and #15 Plum/Teal Charlottes.

The bracelet is finished off with a self beaded toggle to keep with the overall theme of "Turquoise Ripples". This fun bracelet is already spoken for, tho, special orders will be taken on request.  Pricing will usually range from $60 to $85 depending on the 8MM round semi precious stone chosen.
